Only about one third (32.5%) of Cumberland county adults report getting 20 or more minutes of physical activity three or more days a week.  With national experts recommending 30 or more minutes of activity five or more days a week, it is easy to see that most of us in Cumberland county are not active enough.  Active communities is our way of saying that we want to do whatever we can to make it easier for people to bike or walk to work, school, while running errands or just for fun.  We want to help provide safe routes and places for people to get all the physical activity they want and need.
